Express Employment Professionals of Libertyville is hiring for a Buyer that is needed for a growing company in the construction related industry.  Our client is seeking a very organized and system-oriented person. Must have interpersonal skills so they can interact easily between Sales, Customer Service, Accounting and important Vendor Partners. Must have the ability to forecast inventory purchases accurately using the system provided and other resources including input from customers and sales. The goal is to ensure excellent service standards and maintain high customer satisfaction!
 
Highlights of Buyer:

• Contract-to-hire or Direct hire
• Pay: $60,000-70,000 based on experience
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (flexibility)
• Located in the Grayslake area

Responsibilities:

• Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
• Responsible for sourcing and purchasing essential materials
• Create, review, process and reconcile purchase orders
• Maintain accuracy of part data and part planning parameters in Epicor
• Identify, research and evaluate suppliers to meet purchasing standards
• Request and analyze quotations to ensure criteria are met
• Effectively negotiate pricing and delivery times
• Develop inventory controls to identify demand for new materials
• Continuously evaluate, build and maintain relationships with vendors
• Evaluating quality, price, reliability, technical support and availability of goods and services
• Monitor inventory and determine supply needs
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Gain an extensive, detailed understanding of our inventory product needs, levels and control systems
• Analyze and solve complex purchasing issues relating to Accounting, Receiving, etc.
• Other duties as assigned                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             

 
Ideal Candidate:                                            

• 3+ years of experience as a Buyer                                                     
• High School diploma, general education degree or equivalent                                
• Strong knowledge of Purchasing/Forecasting/Inventory Control principles and practices  
• Competent in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Experience in Epicor a plus
