I am Lori and my company is Tender Loving Companion, I understand the importance of fostering meaningful connections and creating a sense of belonging for seniors, as well as those living with dementia.
My journey began with a passion for enriching the lives of older adults, starting with volunteer work at Bacoa's ''Day Out'' program. Through my experiences, I witnessed firsthand the profound impact that companionship, socialization, and engaging activities can have on individuals and those in the early stages of dementia.
My commitment to fostering a dementia-friendly environment ensures that our clients feel understood, supported, and valued every step of the way.
Driven by my dedication to person-centered care, I have honed my skills as an activity professional to design customized care plans that cater to the specific interests and abilities of each client. Whether it's reminiscing over cherished memories, participating in stimulating activities, or simply sharing a friendly conversation over tea. I strive to create moments of joy and fulfillment for clients while providing their caregivers some time for themselves.
My background is in teaching yoga and pilates which I have done and still do for many years. Being a partner in people's lives to enhance quality of life and promote overall well-being is my passion.
The services I offer are non-medical companionship, activities, light exercise, errands, meal prep, and personal organization.
