About Us
Sharing Time and Resources, more commonly known as STAR Charities, was registered as a charitable foundation in 2003 by Progressive Components in Wauconda, IL, and is a volunteer-run organization. STAR Charities’ mission is to deliver resources and assistance to those in need through events within our communities. STAR Charities has reached over $1,000,000 in top-line revenues since its founding. STAR Charities works each year to bring much-needed food, clothing, and other necessities to those less fortunate by working with local food pantries and schools. STAR Charities also donates to local organizations such as Friends of Bangs Lake and Wauconda Township Historical Society as well as larger organizations such as Canine Companions for Independence and Rebuilding Together. Throughout each year, STAR Charities hosts and sponsors many events, such as food drives, school supply drives, holiday gift giving to families in need, Shamrock the Block, Wauconda Bunny Hop, Wauconda Turkey Trot, an annual Coat Drive and more!
