About Us
Hermann's is the geographical social center for the community of Port Barrington (formerly Fox River Valley Gardens).
Established in 1927, it has served as the desired destination for campers, hunters, and fishermen from all over the Chicagoland area.
Staying true to its roots, Hermann's continues to be the ''hidden gem'' of Taverns on the Lower Fox River today.
In 98 years of operation, three generations of the Krcmar Family have served the community and our friends, offering cold beer, good food, and, more importantly, great memories.
We welcome you to visit us soon and Rest-A-While.
Whether you have a boat, jet ski, kayak, or want to do a little fishing, you have found the right place. We offer launches, parking by the day, or for the whole season.
