About Us
Bookfriends International was founded on the belief that every child deserves a chance to learn and to develop his or her individual abilities.
Bookfriends International is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to helping educate students in secondary schools in Africa by providing books, supporting educational materials and services.
We believe education is key to developing young minds. Therefore, we secure donated books from middle schools, high schools, libraries, individuals, book drives and book publishing companies.?? We promote global learning by passing on these new and used books.
We see the positive effects in over 200 African schools, thanks to Bookfriends. Books that are often discarded or sold for pennies on the dollar here in the states, become treasures in the hands of those seeking knowledge and new skills.
