Looking to start a vegetable garden from seed? This presentation covers all the basics including planning the garden (site selection, vegetable selection and supplies), preparing the soil, proper planting techniques, and caring for the established garden. Seed starting and planting times for warm and cool season vegetables are discussed as well.   Join expert gardener Kim Hartmann to learn everything you need to know.  Everyone who registers will receive a garden kit prepared by the Illinois Master Gardeners to help get you started.  Seed starting kits will be available to pick up ~ 1 week before the program.
