About the Position:

  At Laskowski Ace, Cashiers represent the front line in making the customers shopping experience a pleasant one. The Cashier is accountable for processing all transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures. Cashier’s play a fundamental role in achieving customer satisfaction and revenue growth objectives. Responsibilities include: Engaging customers in every way; greet customers as soon as they are encountered Perform all steps in the checkout process including: scanning and bagging items at a rate that meets store requirements and processing accepted forms of payment Reconcile cash drawer daily Handle customer complaints with integrity and poise, and, when necessary, refer dissatisfied guests to the appropriate individuals for resolution Maintains high ethical standards in all actions Assist customers in the store as well as on the phone Maintain awareness of promotions/advertisements in order to inform customers about special sales

Requirements

Minimum Be at least 16 years old Ability to count accurate change to ensure no overages or shortages of money and maintaining an accurate cash drawer Ability to process transactions accurately Experience using a computer Ability to multi-task using the register and answering the phone Ability to communicate professionally with customers and team members Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time Clean and approachable appearance Availability must be flexible to the needs of the business Customer satisfaction-oriented Preferred but, not required Experience in retail cashiering or sales Familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g. cash register, scanners, etc) Customer service experience, including resolving customer issues, assisting customers in locating product, greeting customers, answering phones and building relationships with customers
