Before and After School Club Counselors

Immediate openings for individuals 16 years and older that possess a current American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, Preventing Disease Transmission, and AED Essentials certifications. Will train if needed. Individuals are needed to work at our before and after school program as a counselor. Seasonal hours available. Hours are Monday-Thursday 6:15 -9:05 am, Fridays 6:15 - 9:35 am and afternoons Monday - Friday 3:30-6:00 pm. Applicants will be responsible for supervising children K-6th grade in a variety of activities (i.e crafts, sports, active and passive games, and homework help.) This person will plan, prepare and implement activities suited for children in that program area. They will be responsible for performing a variety of duties to prepare the club site area for the demands of the group present. Individual should have experience working with children and possess the ability to be able to give clear and concise directions to children. They should maintain positive and effective communications between co-workers, participants, and parents/legal guardians. Required to meet all safety rules, policies and procedures guidelines established by American Red Cross and PDRMA. Please stop by the community center to fill out an application.
